I Love To Tell The Story

About

I am an award-winning writer/journalist with more than 12 years experience, and I now live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I started my career in journalism as a TV news producer/correspondent and worked for such organizations as WCNC TV in Charlotte, North Carolina and CNN, Reuters Television, CBN News and a few of the local affiliates in Washington, DC.

I relocated to Indianapolis in 2002 to concentrate on the print side of journalism and have been published in more than two-dozen national and international publications. Most of what I write about revolves around motorsports, faith-based issues, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and my personal experience with 9/11. I’m a story-teller at heart. I love to hear people’s stories and then re-tell them through creative writing in a way that makes a positive impact on the lives of the reader.

My husband, Kurt, and I have one dog, Fletcher.

  1. Well, now it’s really getting wierd. We have two dogs and my husband truly dislikes my cat (see blog post Animals Can’t be People).
I once wrote a piece on Bondurant School for racing and traded for a class for my husband. You’ve really got a gift for expressing the heart of a message. I’d love to talk more about both our book projects to see how we can encourage each other.
I’m getting geared up to pitch it next week at the Glorieta Christian Writers Conference (awesome event!), so pray if you think about it.
